Before You Book
FAQ's + Policies
Everything you need to move with us — the practical details, gently kept in one place.
Studio Policies
The essentials that keep our small classes running smoothly.
Cancellation Policy
12 hours' notice
All cancellations or changes must be made at least 12 hours before your class or appointment, through the Momence app.
Cancellations by text, email, or in-app message can't be accepted. Cancelling early also opens your spot for someone on the waitlist — thank you for respecting the 12-hour window.
Late Arrival + Grace Period
Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time. We offer a short 2-minute grace period; once it passes, entry is no longer permitted — this protects the flow of class and, most importantly, your safety.
Arrivals after the grace window are considered a missed class and the credit is forfeited. We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early.
We appreciate you respecting the time of our instructors and your fellow classmates.
No-Show Policy
$25 fee
A reservation that isn't cancelled and isn't attended is a no-show, and is subject to a strict $25 fee. The class is forfeited without refund or credit.
Our classes are intentionally small — especially Reformer — so every reserved space matters. Repeated no-shows may be subject to membership review.
Prenatal + Postnatal
Support for your changing body, through every stage.
During Pregnancy (Prenatal)
From your second trimester (week 13) onward, we ask that you attend only classes designated Prenatal + Postnatal Friendly, or book a private session for more individualized guidance.
These sessions allow thoughtful modifications and extra attention to accommodate your changing body while prioritizing comfort, stability, and intentional movement.
We recommend discussing your routine with your healthcare provider first. Unsure which class is right? Reach out to the SŌL team before booking.
After Birth (Postnatal)
Before returning to group movement classes, we ask that you receive clearance from your OB-GYN, physician, or midwife.
We strongly recommend beginning with a private session before transitioning into group classes, so your instructor can understand your recovery and offer modifications specific to your needs.
We recommend Prenatal + Postnatal Friendly classes until you and your provider feel you're ready to return to regular group classes.
Private Sessions
Pregnancy and postpartum recovery are deeply individual. A private SŌL session offers dedicated time with an instructor and a movement experience tailored specifically to you.
Whether you're navigating changes during pregnancy, returning to movement postpartum, or looking for extra support before joining a group class, private sessions let us meet you where you are.
Move at your pace. Listen to your body. We'll meet you there.
Frequently Asked
A few more things worth knowing before your first visit.
When should I arrive for class?
Arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in, store your belongings, meet your instructor, and settle in.
Classes begin promptly, with a 2-minute grace period. Once that passes, entry isn't permitted — this protects the flow of class and your safety.
What is SŌL's cancellation policy?
Plans change — if you need to cancel, please do so at least 12 hours before class. Cancellations within 12 hours are late cancellations and result in loss of that class credit.
For members with recurring access, additional late-cancellation fees may apply per your membership terms. Whenever possible, cancelling early gives someone on the waitlist a chance to move with us.
What happens if I miss a class without cancelling?
A reservation that isn't cancelled and isn't attended is a no-show. The class is forfeited without refund or credit, and is subject to the $25 no-show fee.
Our classes are intentionally small, so every reserved space matters. If you can't make it, please cancel as early as you can so another member can attend.
What should I wear to class?
Comfortable athletic clothing that lets you move freely. We recommend tying your hair up before class.
Grip socks are required for Reformer classes and will be available for purchase at the studio if you forget yours.
What makes SŌL different?
SŌL is more than a place to work out — it's a space to Reform, Recover + Belong. We brought thoughtful, intentional movement and recovery to Bed-Stuy in a space that feels elevated without ever feeling intimidating.
Our intimate class sizes let instructors offer personalized attention and meaningful modifications while keeping the energy of a group class. From Reformer and Mat Pilates to Yoga and recovery, everything is designed to help you build strength and a sustainable practice.
Community happens in the moments around the workout, too — come a little early, stay a moment after, and make yourself at home.
What membership and class options do you offer?
There are many ways to move with us: monthly memberships, Reformer Pilates class packs, Mat Pilates + Yoga class packs, combination packs, single-class/drop-in options, private sessions, and recovery experiences.
Some promotional or legacy memberships may include special rates or benefits, subject to their terms. Current pricing and availability are always on our booking platform.
Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Life happens. Eligible monthly memberships may be frozen per the terms of your agreement. Freeze requests must be submitted in advance and may be subject to minimum/maximum periods or a fee.
Memberships can be cancelled anytime via the Momence app — not by email, text, or in-app message. Because certain promotional and legacy rates are no longer available for purchase, cancelling one may mean permanently giving up that rate.
Do class pack credits expire?
Yes. Class packs expire beginning on the date of purchase; the period varies by package and is shown at checkout.
Unused credits are non-refundable and generally can't be extended. We recommend choosing the package that most realistically reflects how often you plan to visit.
I'm new to Pilates or Yoga. Which class should I take?
Welcome — beginners are absolutely welcome. Look for classes marked All Levels or Beginner Friendly. Our instructors offer modifications and progressions so you can work at a level that suits your body and experience.
If you're brand new to the Reformer or returning after a break, a private session is a wonderful introduction. Don't worry about knowing everything beforehand — that's what we're here for.
What if I'm pregnant or postpartum?
We love supporting you through this chapter. SŌL offers designated Pre + Postnatal Friendly classes with thoughtful modifications for your changing body.
From your second trimester (week 13), please attend only Pre + Postnatal Friendly classes. Before returning postpartum, you must receive clearance from your obstetrician, physician, or midwife, and we strongly recommend beginning with a private session. See the Prenatal + Postnatal section above before booking.
What if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Please tell your instructor before class about any injuries, limitations, recent procedures, or other considerations that may affect your movement.
Instructors can offer modifications when appropriate, but group classes may not suit every circumstance. If you're recovering or unsure, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider and considering a private session. Your safety always comes first.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All clients complete SŌL's liability waiver before their first class or session. By participating, you acknowledge that Pilates, Yoga, strength training, and other physical activity involve inherent risks.
Please keep your instructor informed of any injuries, limitations, pregnancy, postpartum status, or changes that may affect your ability to participate safely.
What is your refund policy?
All memberships, class packs, drop-ins, and other purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Late cancellations and no-shows result in loss of the applicable class credit and may carry additional fees.
If something unexpected comes up or you have a concern about your experience, please reach out — we're always happy to help when we reasonably can.
Can I bring a guest or my child with me?
Because SŌL is an intimate studio and we want to keep a calm, safe environment, only registered participants may remain in class and studio areas during sessions. Children and other guests can't wait unattended in the studio while you take class.
If you'd like someone to experience SŌL with you, we'd love to have them — simply have them create an account and reserve their own spot.
What if I arrive very early?
We love the enthusiasm. To give the class before yours the same calm experience, please plan to enter the studio no more than 10 minutes before your class.
If you arrive earlier, we kindly ask that you wait until the 10-minute check-in window begins. This small courtesy helps us reset the studio and welcome each group with intention.
